This is the first mechanical model that I made - way back in 1997. I visited the Cabaret Mechanical Theatre at Covent Garden and came away inspired to design and make my own. I had the idea on the train on the way home and made it within a fortnight. I made quite a few before our Art Wave Open House in 2006 and as I sold some then I have recently been remaking those and also adding to my collection of original automata. I now have over 50 in my collection. |
